Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) is recruiting 3,551 participants for the '2025 Senior Job and Social Activity Support Project' from the 9th to the 13th. This is an increase of 213 people compared to last year.

The recruitment numbers are ▲ Senior Public Interest Activity Project (formerly Public Interest Type) 2,200 people ▲ Senior Capacity Utilization Project (formerly Social Service Type) 1,000 people ▲ Community Project Group (formerly Market Type) 313 people ▲ Employment Referral Type 38 people.
The eligibility for the Senior Public Interest Activity Project is seniors aged 65 or older receiving basic pension or occupational pensions (government officials, private school teachers, military personnel). From 2025, occupational pension recipients who wish to apply must submit additional documents such as a pension payment confirmation, income certificate, and individual or joint housing price confirmation.
Seniors aged 60 or older who do not receive a pension can also participate in the Senior Capacity Utilization Project, Community Project Group, and Employment Referral Type depending on the project group.
The Senior Public Interest Activity Project offers jobs within the scope of community service such as street environment guardians and school traffic safety guardians. Participants work 3 hours a day, 30 hours a month, and receive an activity allowance of 290,000 KRW.
The Senior Capacity Utilization Project utilizes seniors' capabilities in various fields such as childcare, elderly care, disability support, and public institution support. Participants contribute to the community based on their experience and knowledge, working 3 hours a day, 60 hours a month, and receive a monthly salary of 634,000 KRW.
The Community Project Group involves working at small-scale workplaces operated by the Paju Senior Club, such as cafes and convenience stores, or participating in projects related to educational institutions like school cafeterias. Participants work an average of 36 hours per month and receive a salary of 360,000 KRW.
However, the Employment Support Type (formerly Employment Referral), which supports employment at general companies, is recruited year-round and is continuously accepting applications regardless of the above period.
Those wishing to participate can apply by visiting the administrative welfare centers in their residential town or township, Paju Senior Club, Paju Senior Welfare Center, Munsan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Unjeong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Paju Silver Sarangchae, or the Korean Senior Citizens Association Paju Branch, depending on the desired job type.
Applicants must bring their ID and resident registration certificate. Only applications for the Senior Public Interest Activity Project can be made at the administrative welfare centers in the residential town or township.
However, ▲ recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act ▲ workplace subscribers to National Health Insurance ▲ those rated for long-term care insurance ▲ people currently participating in other job projects promoted by government ministries or local governments cannot participate in any type of senior job project.
