The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Tae-hee) announced on the 9th that it will hold a college entrance briefing session to assist high school 1st and 2nd grade students and their parents with college admissions. The briefing sessions will be held from the 26th to the 27th at the Northern Office of Education (Uijeongbu) and on the 28th at Gachon University (Seongnam) Ye-eum Hall, respectively.

This briefing session will include ▲special lectures on college entrance exams ▲1:1 college entrance counseling ▲support for college student learning (coaching and mentoring).


At the special lecture on college entrance exams held at Gachon University on the 28th, a representative lecturer for college entrance guidance in Gyeonggi Province will explain ▲analysis of the 2025 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) and study strategies for the CSAT ▲analysis of the 2026 college admission process and key points.


The 1:1 college entrance counseling held from the 26th to the 28th will involve counselors from the Korea Council for University Education, who will provide ▲college entrance counseling based on student record analysis ▲guidance on possible universities and departments ▲strategies for preparing for college entrance exams.


The college student learning counseling, held on the 26th and 27th, will be conducted by mentor students currently enrolled in universities, targeting high school students. The main topics include ▲study habits and lifestyle methods ▲guidance on university majors and campus life ▲support counseling to establish self-directedness for college entrance.


The number of attendees for the special lecture on college entrance exams is limited to the first 550 applicants. The 1:1 college entrance counseling will be conducted for 460 applicants who register in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. The college student learning counseling will be held for 180 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.


High school 1st and 2nd grade students and their parents who wish to attend the special lecture on college entrance exams and the 1:1 college entrance counseling can pre-register on the application website from the 10th to the 15th. The 1:1 college entrance counseling session lasts 40 minutes per person, and participants must bring their mock exam score reports and school records.


The Office of Education expects that by operating this college entrance special lecture, it will provide students and parents with the latest college admission information, and through 1:1 college entrance counseling and college student learning counseling, it will reduce private education and enhance the credibility of public education.


Kim Sung-jin, Director of Career and Vocational Education at the Office of Education, said, “This event was prepared to provide accurate college entrance information and assist with guidance for high school students and parents in the province ahead of the 2026 college entrance process. We will continue to actively support quality college entrance guidance and counseling centered on the Office of Education at the public education level.”
