Every year, December 10th is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Day. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations on December 10, 1948, is the first international human rights agreement that defines basic human rights and universal values.

On the 10th at 11 a.m., at the Buk-gu Office plaza, there will be an exhibition of award-winning works from the human rights art contest and children's human rights books, along with a human rights quiz event. On the same day at 3:30 p.m., the Human Rights Culture School will be held at Solomon Park, where local children will learn the meaning of human rights easily and enjoyably through writing contests and games.

On the 17th at 3 p.m., a human rights lecture titled "What We Need to Reject Discrimination and Hate" will be held at the Cha-eum Space in the Buk-gu Lifelong Learning Center. Then, on the 19th at 11 a.m., human rights network officials will have a meeting in Room 301 of the Buk-gu Lifelong Learning Center to discuss ways to activate human rights policies and promote joint cooperation.

District Mayor Moon said, “Through this Human Rights Week, I hope the true meaning of human rights and freedom, which are universal values of humanity, will spread throughout the region,” adding, “We will continue to unite the community’s capabilities to realize an inclusive human rights city where all local residents can respect and harmonize with each other.”
