About 40 students from the Department of Real Estate Asset Management and members of the Real Estate Investment Club participated in the event, making 1,400 kg of kimchi over approximately three hours.
The kimchi-making expenses were covered by funds collected from the students' contributions, club membership fees, and sponsorship from the Dong-Eui University Life Project Group.
The College of Future Convergence at Dong-Eui University delivered 250 boxes of the kimchi made that day to multicultural families and elderly living alone in Dangam-dong, Bujeon-dong, Jeonpo-dong, and other nearby neighborhoods through the Busanjin District Office, supporting neighbors in need near the university.
Park Soon-sun, the general manager of the Real Estate Investment Club, said, "While gatherings for unity among members at the end of the year are good, members expressed the wish to use the membership fees more meaningfully. We organized the kimchi-sharing event with hopes that many juniors will enroll next year through department promotion," adding, "We plan to carry out volunteer activities regularly in the future."
