Members of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee from the Democratic Party of Korea and the Party for Justice and Innovation urged military investigative agencies to "promptly conduct a search and seizure of the Counterintelligence Command."
On the morning of the 7th, they held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office in Yeouido, Seoul, stating, "Commander Yeo In-hyung of the Military Counterintelligence Command is a key figure who conspired and led charges of treason and military rebellion," and added, "We have requested Hong Jang-won, the 1st Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service, to notify the arrest targets including Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, and to identify location information for their arrest."
They continued, "The Counterintelligence Command planned an unconstitutional and illegal martial law, drafted the first proclamation, and took control of the National Election Commission to lead the search," emphasizing, "A comprehensive search and seizure of the Military Counterintelligence Command, Commander Yeo In-hyung, and his subordinates is extremely urgent and important. Sufficient evidence has already been revealed."
Furthermore, they stated, "If the military investigative agencies have the will, a search and seizure can be conducted immediately. Hesitation to carry out the search will inevitably lead to criticism of being accomplices to treason and military rebellion," and added, "We strongly request once again: conduct a search and seizure of the Counterintelligence Command immediately."
