Kim Dong-yeon on President Yoon's Statement: "The Coup Leader Must Resign Immediately and Be Impeached"

Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, dismissed President Yoon Seok-yeol's national address on the 7th as worthless and demanded, "He must resign immediately and be impeached immediately."

In a post on his social media (SNS) on the same day, Governor Kim stated, "Leaving the term and position to his discretion? There is no term to shorten nor position to leave to the coup mastermind," firmly declaring his stance.

He added, "There is nothing left but resignation, not an apology," emphasizing, "(President Yoon Seok-yeol) must resign immediately and be impeached immediately."

Earlier, President Yoon Seok-yeol, in a national address at 10 a.m. that day, expressed an apology to the people and stated his intention not to evade legal and political responsibility. He also promised to entrust the People Power Party with the future political stability measures, including his term.
