[Full Text] President Yoon's Apology and National Address on Martial Law Emergency On the 7th, the day of the vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol, citizens are watching President Yoon's national address in the waiting room of Seoul Station.

President Yoon Suk-yeol apologized for the confusion caused by the emergency martial law situation in a public address on the morning of the 7th.

President Yoon also expressed his intention to entrust the ruling party with measures to stabilize the political situation, including his term in office.

The following is the full text of President Yoon's public address

Dear fellow citizens,

On the night of December 3rd at 11 p.m., I declared martial law. About two hours later, around 1 a.m. on December 4th, following the National Assembly's resolution to lift the martial law, I ordered the military to withdraw and lifted the martial law after a late-night Cabinet meeting.

This declaration of martial law stemmed from the urgency felt as the final authority responsible for state affairs, the President.

However, in the process, I caused anxiety and inconvenience to the people.

I deeply regret this and sincerely apologize to the citizens who were greatly surprised.

I will not evade legal or political responsibility related to this martial law declaration.

Citizens, there have been talks about reactivating martial law, but I want to make it clear:

There will never be a second martial law declaration.

Citizens, regarding the stabilization of the political situation going forward, including matters related to my term, I will entrust this to our party.

From now on, the ruling party and the government will take joint responsibility for managing state affairs.

I bow my head once again to apologize for causing concern to the people.
