Amid the upcoming vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol, the ruling party demanded the removal of outsiders remaining within the National Assembly premises.
On the 7th, Seo Beom-su, Secretary General of the People Power Party, and Bae Jun-young, Senior Deputy Floor Leader, visited Kim Min-gi, Secretary General of the National Assembly, to make this announcement.
Senior Deputy Floor Leader Bae said, "Those who entered yesterday under the pretext of various meetings have not left, and last night, preparations were made to allow 380 people to sleep, with people coming and going," adding, "They must be immediately removed, or legal measures such as confiscation of ID cards should be taken."
He continued, "If the National Assembly does not make efforts to ensure that those who entered illegally leave, various incidents may occur in the afternoon, and I am concerned that Secretary General Kim may be held responsible."
Secretary General Seo said, "It could potentially become pressure during the vote, and there are several unstable factors," adding, "The National Assembly Secretariat should manage this well and prepare in advance."
In response, Secretary General Kim said, "We have confirmed that some outsiders have left, and we will strive to maintain order and safety going forward."
