Applications accepted from the 9th to the 20th... Job assignments start from February 3rd next year
Taebaek City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Lee Sang-ho) announced that it will recruit participants for the '2025 First Half Public Job Project' for 12 days from the 9th to the 20th to stabilize the lives of vulnerable employment groups and establish a foundation for self-reliance.
The total number of participants to be recruited for the 2025 first half public job project is 315, with 279 for Taebaek-type jobs, 32 for community jobs, and 4 for happiness jobs.
The project period is from February 3 to June 30. The working period varies by project. Eligibility requirements include being a Taebaek citizen aged 18 or older with the ability to work, belonging to a vulnerable employment group with household income below 70% of the median income, and assets under 400 million KRW.
Citizens wishing to participate should prepare an application form and related documents and apply in person at the local dong administrative welfare center or the project promotion department. Final selection of participants will be completed and individually notified by January 31 next year. Selected participants will be assigned to 102 workplaces including DB construction, public service support, environmental maintenance, and safety guardians, working between 15 to 40 hours per week, receiving an hourly wage of 10,030 KRW and benefits under the four major social insurances.
A Taebaek City official stated, "We hope that the first half public job project will greatly help stabilize the lives and establish a foundation for self-reliance of vulnerable employment groups, and we will make every effort to improve the working environment and prevent safety accidents at each workplace."
