On the 6th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that "Jo Gurae, Director of the Foreign Policy and Intelligence Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will hold a trilateral high-level consultation on North Korea's nuclear issue with Daniel Kritenbrink, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, and Namazu Hiroyuki, Japan's Director for North Korea at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Tokyo, Japan on the 9th."
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the representatives of the three countries will share assessments of the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia, including North Korea's internal and external conditions, potential provocations, and illegal military cooperation between Russia and North Korea, and discuss trilateral cooperation measures among South Korea, the U.S., and Japan to respond to North Korean provocations and achieve denuclearization.
