The National Assembly's Science, Technology, Information and Broadcasting Communications Committee has scheduled a session on the 13th to question issues related to President Yoon Seok-yeol's declaration of martial law.


On the afternoon of the 6th, the committee held its 19th plenary meeting and resolved to conduct a session on "Current issues regarding the role of the national key broadcaster KBS and related agencies during the December 3 martial law."


The committee summoned nine witnesses, including Park Min, KBS President; Park Jang-beom, incoming President; Yoo Sang-im, Minister of Science and ICT; Kim Tae-gyu, Acting Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission; and Ryu Hee-rim, Chairman of the Korea Communications Standards Commission. Five others, including broadcaster Kim Eo-jun, were called as reference witnesses.


Earlier that day, Hong Jang-won, First Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service, revealed that he had received a list of arrest targets, including Kim Eo-jun, from the Counterintelligence Command.
