Approval of National Industrial Complex Plan by 2026, Compensation to Begin in 2027
Daejeon City announced that the 'Nano and Semiconductor National Industrial Complex,' which is being promoted in the Gyocheon-dong area of Yuseong-gu, has been selected as a candidate for a preliminary feasibility study.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance, through a review by the Korea Development Institute (KDI) on the 6th, selected the 'Nano and Semiconductor National Industrial Complex' as a project subject to a preliminary feasibility study.
The city, together with the project implementer LH, plans to request the preliminary feasibility study within this year. Subsequently, after obtaining approval for the National Industrial Complex Plan from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport by 2026, compensation procedures are scheduled to begin in 2027.
The Nano and Semiconductor National Industrial Complex will foster core industries based on Daejeon's key strategic sectors?nano and semiconductors, and the aerospace industry?utilizing advanced research and development infrastructure from the Daedeok Research and Development Special Zone.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "We will focus all administrative efforts together with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and Korea Land and Housing Corporation to ensure the successful promotion of the Nano and Semiconductor National Industrial Complex, which will serve as a foundation for fostering advanced industries that are the future growth engines of Daejeon."
