Wando-gun to Hold 'Year-End Concert' for Marine Healing Wando

On the 12th at Wando Nong-eo-min Cultural and Sports Center
Performances by Heo Gak, Song So-hee, Kim Tae-yeon, and others

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 6th that it will hold the "Wando Pool! 2024 Marine Healing Wando Year-end Concert" for local residents and tourists at the Wando Farmers and Fishermen Culture and Sports Center on the 12th.

This year-end concert is part of cultural healing for the residents to wrap up the year 2024, departing from the usual format of inviting trot singers annually, and will be operated in collaboration with local art groups.

The concert will provide an enjoyable time where the performing singers and residents come together to have fun and heal their mind and body.

The lineup includes Heo Gak, the final winner of "Superstar K2," young traditional Korean musician Song Sohee, who combines beauty and talent, and Kim Taeyeon and Kim Heejae, who ranked 4th and 7th in "Miss Trot 2," all of whom will present moving performances. Also appearing are performance soprano saxophonist Shin Yusik and trot singer Hana Young. Additionally, special performances by local Wando bands "Deungdae Jigi" and "Miso Band," as well as explosive dance performances by the dance teams "Double M" and "Beatrice" from Wando High School and Wando Girls' Middle School, will follow.

The county expects that collaboration with local art groups will greatly contribute to the pride of regional art organizations and promote cultural revitalization. In particular, rather than a concert solely for invited singers' fan clubs, it plans to provide cultural healing opportunities for local residents through cultural and artistic performances in which the community participates together.

County Governor Shin Woo-cheol stated, "In celebration of next year’s 'Visit Wando Year,' we have promoted busking and cultural experience programs to offer residents and tourists a chance to enjoy cultural leisure. We also plan to hold performances of various genres on the last Wednesday of every month," adding, "We will continue to attract artistic performances for the 'cultural healing' of residents and strive to establish a culture of attendance."
