Economic YouTuber Shuka (real name Jeon Seok-jae), who has 3.44 million subscribers, clarified that his remark "I hope President Yoon Seok-yeol completes his term well" caused controversy due to "misreading the context and incorrect reporting."

On the afternoon of the 6th, Shuka posted an apology on the community section of his YouTube channel 'Shuka World' regarding a statement he made during a live broadcast. He said, "Recently, some media outlets published articles titled 'President Yoon Seok-yeol should complete his term, controversy over pro-martial law nuance.' However, as you can see after the video was uploaded today, contrary to the article's content, the video criticizes martial law and does not express any pro-martial law nuance."

He continued, "The part about 'President Yoon completing his term' was not referring to a specific president but meant that whoever becomes president in the future, I hope they complete their term well without such incidents." He added, "Nevertheless, I acknowledge that it was my fault for misspeaking." He also said, "I believe you can understand by watching the video. I am embarrassed that the article came out completely opposite to my intention, but it was all my mistake for not being serious enough during the live broadcast," and bowed his head, apologizing to those who felt uncomfortable. Finally, he added, "As a powerless YouTuber, I am not good at dealing with the media," and said, "I have no intention of defending martial law. I apologize once again for causing issues different from my intention."
