GNC Energy is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by securities firms' analysis expecting high growth due to expanded IT infrastructure investment.
As of 2:41 PM on the 6th, GNC Energy was trading at 9,670 KRW, up 790 KRW (8.90%) compared to the previous trading day.
GNC Energy is a specialized EPC company for emergency and commercial generators, with about 70% of its generator business segment focused on data centers. Heecheol Park, a researcher at Heungkuk Securities, said, "It holds more than 70% market share in the domestic data center emergency generator industry," adding, "It can handle everything from diesel engine generators to gas turbine generators, securing large-scale references such as the Uiwang NH Integrated IT Center and Jukjeon Pacific Sunny Data Center."
Researcher Heecheol Park explained, "The data centers where GNC Energy has competitiveness are expected to see a significant increase in power consumption ahead of the major trend of AI commercialization," and noted, "Before the emergence of generative AI, the average power consumption per rack was about 8KW, which has risen to about 17KW in just two years."
He added, "By 2027, the average power consumption per rack is expected to increase to 30KW, and the power consumption of domestic data centers is also expected to increase significantly."
Next year's estimated sales and operating profit are 300.7 billion KRW and 43.9 billion KRW, respectively, representing increases of 38.6% and 54.6% compared to this year. He emphasized, "As a company securing a leading position in the domestic data center emergency generator industry, it is expected to meet the inevitably increasing demand alongside the spread of AI," and added, "Since it can respond to both diesel engines and gas turbines, it is expected to maintain its market position through customized supply to clients."
