Kim Young-geum and Lee Myung-im Receive Prime Minister's Commendation
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 6th that Yoon Jeong-sook from Paju City received the Presidential Citation at the '2024 Korea Volunteer Awards' held on the 5th at Hallym University in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.

The 'Korea Volunteer Awards,' held to commemorate Volunteer Day (December 5), is an award organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. It is given to volunteers who have contributed to the activation of volunteer activities by dedicating themselves to the nation and society in accordance with the Volunteer Activities Basic Act.
Yoon Jeong-sook, who received the Presidential Citation this time, is the head of the 'Paju Sarang Volunteer Group' and has earned great trust in the local community through her consistent participation in volunteer activities and leadership.
Yoon Jeong-sook expressed her gratitude, saying, "I would like to thank the volunteers and local residents who have worked together so far, and I will continue to volunteer wherever I am."
Moreover, Kim Young-geum of Paju's 'PAJU Majungmul' and Lee Myung-im of the 'Life Love Puppet Volunteer Group' also received the Prime Minister's Citation at the '2024 Korea Volunteer Awards.'
Lee Chang-woo, Director of the Autonomous Cooperation Division, said, "Thanks to the dedicated participation of many people in Paju in volunteer work, Paju has been able to develop more warmly and healthily," expressing deep gratitude for the efforts of the volunteers.
