On the 5th, Cheongsong-gun in Gyeongbuk held the 2024 Veterans Family Unity Festival at the Cheongsong National Sports Center, organized by the Cheongsong-gun Veterans Organizations Council (Chairman Ryu Byeong-in).
About 350 people, including representatives and members of Cheongsong-gun veterans organizations, heads of major institutions and organizations, and veterans families, attended the event to comfort and honor the national merit recipients and veterans families who sacrificed and contributed to the country.
The event began with performances by the Cheongsong Accordion Club and Cosmos Saxophone, followed by the national ceremony, commendation of meritorious persons, keynote speech, and congratulatory address. Afterwards, lunch and a unity singing contest were held, fostering friendship and harmony among the veterans families.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee said, “The freedom and peace we enjoy today are thanks to the noble sacrifices of national merit recipients and veterans families who contributed to the nation and people,” adding, “We will continue to make greater efforts to honor the patriotism and elevate the dignity of national merit recipients and their families.”
