Jeju Development Corporation Selected as an 'Excellent Company' for Carbon Neutrality Practices

Jeju Development Corporation (President Baek Kyung-hoon) announced on the 6th that it was selected as an outstanding carbon practice company at the '2024 Carbon Neutrality Practice National Conference' held at the Seoul Oil Tank Culture Park on the 5th, and received a commendation plaque from the Ministry of Environment.

Hosted by the Ministry of Environment and organized by the Korea Environment Preservation Association and the Korea Climate and Environment Network, the 'Carbon Neutral Lifestyle Practice National Conference' is an event that promotes a culture of carbon neutrality practice and excellent cases among civic groups, local governments, and companies.

The corporation was selected as an outstanding participating company in carbon neutrality practice at this event and received a commendation plaque. The corporation spares no investment in research and development such as the label-free Jeju Samdasoo product, lightweighting, and recycled PET production, and continues eco-friendly efforts such as reducing greenhouse gases in the production and distribution process of its products. It also contributes to spreading the culture of carbon neutrality practice through campaigns for carbon-neutral resource circulation, support for vulnerable groups during heatwaves, donation of laptops for sharing love, and the in-house zero disposable cup challenge.

A representative of Jeju Development Corporation said, “We are taking the lead in supporting carbon neutrality activities to participate in spreading the culture of carbon neutrality practice in daily life,” and added, “We will actively participate in solving various environmental and social issues through ESG practices in line with the government’s carbon neutrality policy and eco-friendly management.”
