Ulju-gun to Offer Free Certificate Issuance via Unmanned Civil Service Kiosks Starting Next Year

First Among Ulsan Local Governments, Fees Waived for 45 Types of Civil Documents Including Family and Resident Registrations

Ulsan's Ulju-gun will become the first local government in Ulsan to completely waive fees for civil document issuance at unmanned civil service kiosks starting January 1 next year.

Currently, a total of 122 types of civil documents can be issued using the unmanned civil service kiosks. Among these, 76 types are issued free of charge, while 46 types incur fees.

To alleviate the cost burden of using the kiosks, Ulju-gun plans to provide 45 frequently issued civil documents for Ulju residents free of charge, including resident registration certificates, family relation certificates, and land register documents.

To this end, the related ordinance amendment process was recently completed, and from next year, civil documents issued through the unmanned kiosks will be available free of charge. However, real estate registry copies are excluded from the fee waiver as their fees are collected by the court.

An Ulju-gun official stated, "We expect that the fee waiver for the unmanned civil service kiosks will not only reduce the economic burden on residents but also significantly improve civil service satisfaction by reducing waiting times at service counters. We will strive to provide civil administrative services that are convenient and enhance the happiness of our residents."

Currently, Ulju-gun has installed and operates a total of 38 unmanned civil service kiosks at the Ulju-gun Office and Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Centers.
