Danal to Exclusively Provide Payment Service on Freight Transport Platform Jihwada

Danal, a company specializing in integrated payment business, announced on the 6th that it has signed a contract with middle-mile logistics company Jihwada to exclusively provide payment services.

The middle-mile market is estimated by Statistics Korea to be worth about 33 trillion KRW, more than twice the combined size of the first-mile and last-mile markets, and currently has no dominant market leader. Accordingly, both companies plan to enhance market competitiveness by accelerating the digitalization of the middle-mile logistics sector, where digital transformation (DX) has been slow, while simultaneously realizing benefits for both shippers and carriers.

Jihwada is the first company in Korea to introduce a freight transportation platform that enables direct transactions between shippers and carriers. The patented Jihwada platform operates without the involvement of intermediaries such as brokers, and offers AI-based pricing plans derived from big data segmented by region and vehicle type, providing a service that satisfies both shippers and carriers. It has recently been gaining attention in the B2B logistics market.

Through this contract, Danal plans to provide Jihwada with convenient and reliable payment services to enhance payment convenience for shippers. Additionally, Danal, equipped with a fast settlement process, will directly handle settlements to enable immediate payment of transportation fees to carriers, thereby increasing satisfaction.

A Jihwada representative stated, “As a result of sales efforts under the slogan of a transparent and honest nationwide freight transportation platform, we are currently continuously signing additional transportation contracts with large shippers,” and added, “We expect service expansion through the adoption of Danal’s fast settlement and payment solutions.”
