Suwon City Pursues WHO Age-Friendly City Certification... Third Time Since 2016

The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is pursuing its third certification as an Age-friendly City by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Since receiving WHO Age-friendly City membership certification in 2016, Suwon announced on the 6th that it is promoting detailed implementation plans of the 'Five-year Mid- to Long-term Plan for an Age-friendly City' aiming for the third re-certification.

A WHO Age-friendly City refers to a city where aging is not inconvenient, a city that is good to live in regardless of age, and a city where people can actively participate in society to spend their elderly years healthily.
