Geumcheon-gu Recruiting 100 Winter Youth Part-Time Workers

Recruiting a Total of 100 People: 30 Priority Selections and 70 General Selections
For Youth Aged 19-29 Registered in Geumcheon-gu
Apply by December 13 via the ‘Integrated Reservation’ Service on Geumcheon-gu Office Website

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced on the 4th that it is recruiting participants for the 'Winter Youth Part-time Job' until December 13.

Since the last summer part-time job, the district has expanded the eligibility to include not only university students but also youth aged 19 to 29. Those who were previously excluded from university student part-time jobs, such as high school graduates, youth preparing for employment after graduation, and students enrolled in the Korea National Open University or cyber universities, can also apply.

The number of recruits is a total of 100, with 30 selected through priority selection and 70 through general selection. Selected youth will be assigned to the district office, community service centers, and related institutions to gain diverse work experience such as administrative assistance, caregiving, tutoring, and organizing books.

Applicants must be youth aged 19 to 29 (born between 1996 and 2006) who are registered residents of Geumcheon-gu as of the announcement date (December 4) and are able to work. However, those who have worked as university student part-time workers within the past two years are not eligible to apply.

'Priority selection' targets youth who are recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security or belong to the near-poverty class or their children, multicultural families, households with three or more children, persons with disabilities (registered under the Disability Welfare Act), North Korean defectors, national veterans, or youth with more than 100 hours of volunteer work after turning 20.

Selected workers will work for 4 weeks starting January 6, working 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. according to each workplace's schedule. The daily wage, including lunch allowance, is 58,895 KRW, and if they complete all working days, they will receive approximately 1.4 million KRW.

Youth wishing to participate can apply through the 'Integrated Reservation' service on the Geumcheon-gu Office website.

The district will select the final candidates through a public computerized lottery on December 17 and announce the results on the Geumcheon-gu Office website. Final candidates will be notified individually.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "With the expanded youth part-time job program, youth who took this year's college entrance exam and are preparing to graduate can now apply. We hope that youth can gain early social experience and indirectly accumulate public service experience, which will help increase their interest in district affairs and assist in career choices."

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Autonomous Administration Division of Geumcheon-gu Office.
