Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) held a special lecture on arts education at the Myeonmok 7-dong Complex on the 5th to commemorate the opening of the Jungnang Youth Culture and Arts Creation Center.

The lecture, titled "The Impact of Artistic Experiences During Adolescence on Life," was conducted for about 50 parents in the local community.

Attendees included Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi, Jo Min-gu, Chairman of the Jungnang Cultural Foundation, and Kim Deok-gu, CEO of the Jungnang Cultural Foundation.

Nam In-woo, Artistic Director of Buksatong, who served as the speaker, discussed the importance of the power of arts education during adolescence and spent time communicating and empathizing with the parents.

A parent who attended the special lecture expressed, "I am glad that an arts education space for youth has been established in Jungnang-gu," adding, "I hope children can experience various forms of art and nurture their dreams through this space."

Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi of Jungnang-gu stated, "Arts education during adolescence is very important as it helps develop essential qualities such as creative thinking and empathy, which are necessary in today’s complex society," and added, "We will continue to support the Jungnang Youth Culture and Arts Creation Center so that it becomes a foundation where youth can cultivate these essential qualities."

The Jungnang Youth Culture and Arts Creation Center opened last September on the 3rd floor of the Myeonmok 7-dong Complex. This facility offers free programs and spaces for youth to experience various cultural and artistic activities such as visual arts, performance, crafts, and music. It operates from Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., including regular programs linked with schools and the local community.
