NongHyup Central Association Receives Korea Volunteer Award for Contributions to Disaster Recovery and More

On the 5th, NongHyup Central Association received the Presidential Citation at the '2024 Republic of Korea Volunteer Awards' ceremony held at Hallym University in Chuncheon.


A representative of NongHyup Central Association stated, "We have been caring for marginalized neighbors and vulnerable groups, assisting in recovery efforts at disaster sites, and extending warm hands throughout local communities through rural labor support and life-sharing blood donations. In particular, we were highly evaluated for practicing the spirit of sharing and consideration by returning a portion of our profits to the local community."


NongHyup Central Association Receives Korea Volunteer Award for Contributions to Disaster Recovery and More On June 14th, Kang Ho-dong, Chairman of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, visited a pear farm located in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, and helped with the task of covering the pears with protective bags.

The Republic of Korea Volunteer Awards were established to honor the contributions of individuals, organizations, and companies who consistently volunteer and perform good deeds for neighbors in need around us, or who have devoted themselves to volunteer activities at various disaster and calamity sites.


Kang Ho-dong, Chairman of NongHyup Central Association, said, "As corporate social responsibility has become more important than ever today, we regard it not as a mere choice but as an essential duty. Going forward, NongHyup Central Association will continue to expand various social contribution activities that coexist with local residents while preserving its original identity."
