BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Dae-in) held the ‘2024 Busan Science Culture Awards Ceremony’ on the morning of the 5th at Busan City Hall in collaboration with the Busan Science and Technology Council.

The Busan Science Culture Awards Ceremony is an event to spread the culture of science and technology in the region and to discover and encourage outstanding science talents.

This year, awards were presented including the ‘6th GungriN Science Video Contest Award’ presented by the Mayor of Busan, the 13th ‘Young Jang Gi-ryeo Medical Award,’ and the 20th ‘Busan Future Scientist Award.’ Additionally, a new category called ‘We are BNK Science Dream Tree Award’ was established to raise public awareness of the importance of science culture.

Through the ‘We are BNK Science Dream Tree Award,’ BNK Financial Group selected 62 students out of 325 participants who took part in the ‘Building Science Assets’ 50-day project conducted since last September for elementary and middle school students, awarding them certificates and scholarships.

Kang Jong-hoon, Head of Group Management Strategy Division at BNK Financial Group, stated, “We hope that scholarship support in the field of science for future generations will help students move toward their dreams and goals,” adding, “We will continue to work together to support the proper growth of students through various scholarship education support projects.”
