First Donation to Love Temperature Tower... Used for Creating Barrier-Free Environment
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (hereinafter YGPA, President Park Seong-hyun) announced on the 5th that it attended the unveiling ceremony of the Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign Jeonnam Eastern Region Love Thermometer Tower on the 3rd and donated 35 million KRW as the first contributing institution to the campaign.
Organized by the Community Chest of Korea, this campaign will run for 62 days, with a total fundraising goal of 11.39 billion KRW for Jeonnam this year. Each time 1% of the target amount, 113.9 million KRW, is raised, the temperature of the thermometer tower rises by 1°C, reaching 100°C upon achieving the final goal.

The donation delivered by YGPA on this day will be used to assist the daily convenience of people with disabilities in the Yeosu and Gwangyang areas and to create a barrier-free environment.
President Park Seong-hyun said, “Following last year, it is very meaningful to participate in the unveiling ceremony of the Love Thermometer Tower again this year and join in practicing love for neighbors,” adding, “I hope many people will participate in the campaign this year as well to deliver warm energy to the local community.”
Meanwhile, the Love Thermometer Towers in Jeonnam are installed at the Jeonnam Provincial Office Plaza (Western Region) and Yeosu City Hall Rotary (Eastern Region), and the fundraising campaign will continue until January 31 of next year. Institutions, organizations, and citizens wishing to participate can donate through Gwangju-Jeonnam Love Fruit, the three major broadcasters (KBS, MBC, KBC), local governments such as city, county, and district offices, as well as ARS and QR codes.
