SK Materials announced on the 5th that it has implemented executive personnel changes and organizational restructuring for next year at SK Materials' Company-in-Company (CIC) and its subsidiaries.
SK Materials launched an integrated corporation combining the materials company SK Materials Performance and the semiconductor package materials company Evertac Enterprise, appointing Kim Yang-taek, president of SK Materials, as the representative concurrently.
Regarding the reason for the merger of the two companies, the company stated, "It is a strategy to respond to the rapidly growing artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor market," adding, "This measure aims to strengthen research and development (R&D) to accelerate the development of new materials and optimize the supply chain to enhance operational efficiency."
The former CEO of SK Materials Performance, Ha Jung-hwan, was appointed as the CEO of SK Trichem.
The company explained, "Through this organizational restructuring, we streamlined the organization from the perspective of portfolio rebalancing and selected talent centered on manufacturing and technology experts to strengthen fundamental competitiveness and execution capabilities."
It added, "Going forward, we will strengthen technology-centered operational improvement (O/I) capabilities to achieve qualitative growth in the semiconductor materials business."
