From Corporate Employee to Owner Managing 10 Stores
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 5th that the final series of the 'Our Neighborhood Boss Special Lecture' held at the Youth Startup Center on the 4th was successfully concluded.
The 'Our Neighborhood Boss Special Lecture' was conducted in the form of a talk concert where senior local entrepreneurs and young startup founders meet.
This special lecture was organized to pass on practical experiences and know-how from successful entrepreneurs to young people challenging startups, with about 30 local youths participating, showing high interest and enthusiasm.
For this lecture, CEO Choi Hyung-tae, who started a business after working for 16 years at a major telecommunications company and currently operates 10 telecommunications stores contributing to the local community, was invited.
Based on his numerous experiences and unique background, CEO Choi shared the know-how on how a corporate employee became a CEO with an annual sales of 10 billion won within four years, receiving great responses from the attendees.
In particular, the lecture was designed to move away from a one-sided lecture format and instead foster communication by receiving and answering questions from participants in a free atmosphere, providing an opportunity to solve realistic concerns of prospective entrepreneurs and instill confidence.
A Namyangju City official said, "We hope that through the startup success stories of our neighborhood neighbors, prospective young entrepreneurs will gain confidence and take on challenges," adding, "Next year, we will continue to operate various programs where local entrepreneurs and prospective entrepreneurs can interact and grow together."
