'Reverse Mentoring' is a method opposite to traditional mentoring, where primarily younger employees educate and advise their superiors or more experienced employees on the latest technologies, trends, and perspectives of the younger generation.

The groups are composed of a total of 30 teams: 15 for elementary and 15 for secondary education. Each group consists of 1 to 2 senior teachers with over 15 years of teaching experience and 8 to 9 new or less experienced teachers with less than 5 years of experience.

Senior teachers, as advisors (mentors), share their experiences with new and less experienced teachers on ▲effective lesson planning and management ▲classroom and class management ▲methods of communicating with parents. Meanwhile, new and less experienced teachers share ▲how to utilize artificial intelligence and educational technology ▲use of digital educational tools ▲latest educational trends ▲communication methods using students and media, fostering mutual communication.

The activity process and results will be uploaded on the Gyeonggi Education Moa website and internet accounts (Edunet-Tclear), to transfer knowledge on acquiring and utilizing digital technologies related to artificial intelligence digital textbooks. Additionally, the changes in teachers' roles according to digital-based classroom instruction and the process of communication and empathy between generations will be introduced together.

Lee Jung-hyun, Director of the Educational Capacity Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, “Through mutual mentoring activities between experienced and less experienced teachers, we expect to improve the quality of education and enhance communication and understanding between generations.” He added, “We will systematically carry out customized capacity-building projects according to teaching experience to promote the spread of teachers’ research capabilities in the field and to demonstrate educational expertise.”
