This activity was urgently carried out to replenish the sandbags depleted by the recent heavy snowfall, and the sandbags made jointly by the public and private sectors will be placed in about 160 snow removal boxes in the district to be effectively used in snow removal vulnerable areas.
Park Jin-ha, the head of the dong office, said, “I appreciate the efforts of the community leaders who stepped forward to minimize disaster blind spots despite the cold weather,” adding, “This activity is not just a volunteer effort but an important opportunity to minimize citizen inconvenience and strengthen community spirit.”
Meanwhile, Tanbeol-dong is striving for emergency recovery from heavy snow damage with support from the Tanbeol-dong Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group, including excavators and manpower, and is actively supporting the ‘Snow Clearing in Front of My House’ campaign by providing two bags of calcium chloride per household free of charge.
