Meanwhile, in the category of international air passenger numbers, the figure rose 37% from last year to 32.4 million. London came in third with 21.7 million, followed by Hong Kong (20.5 million), Mecca (19.3 million), Antalya (19.3 million), Dubai (18.2 million), Macau (18 million), Paris (17.4 million), and Kuala Lumpur (16.5 million). Euromonitor International reported that global international air passenger numbers increased by 19% this year, driven by rising travel demand.
