The survey results showed that Paris ranked first for the fourth consecutive year. Euromonitor International explained, "Paris has excellent travel policies and infrastructure," adding, "Already this year, 70 million tourists have visited." CNN stated, "There have been significant changes in Paris this year," noting, "The Paris Olympics were held in the summer, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral will soon reopen."

Meanwhile, in the category of international air passenger numbers, the figure rose 37% from last year to 32.4 million. Istanbul, which was the top city in this category last year, ranked second with 23 million passengers. London came in third with 21.7 million, followed by Hong Kong (20.5 million), Mecca (19.3 million), Antalya (19.3 million), Dubai (18.2 million), Macau (18 million), Paris (17.4 million), and Kuala Lumpur (16.5 million). Euromonitor International reported that global international air passenger numbers increased by 19% this year, driven by rising travel demand.
