Co-hosted by Goyang Special City and the Goyang Office of Education, this event was organized to reaffirm the power of cooperation between the local community and schools through sharing best practices and presenting students' achievements.

The Future Education Cooperation District is a project that supports school curricula by utilizing community resources through cooperation between the Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education and local government heads.

This year, the city has operated eight Future Education Cooperation District projects targeting a total of 193 kindergartens, elementary, middle, high, and special schools within the jurisdiction, building a student-tailored growth platform through close collaboration with the local community.

At the event, a student from Goyang International High School presented the achievements made through the "Support for School Autonomous Curriculum Operation" project, vividly demonstrating how projects utilizing local resources brought changes to the students.

Following this, the performance "Grandma Bap's Story" by Class 5 of Grade 3 at Hogok Elementary School was the fruit of a community-linked project class, receiving enthusiastic applause as a work that combined village stories with students' creative interpretations.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City said, “The Goyang Future Education Cooperation District project is significant in providing practical experiences and growth based on cooperation with the local community beyond the school fence,” adding, “Goyang City will continue to create an educational environment where students can nurture their dreams and grow together with the community through various projects such as the Whole Village Happy School and community-linked projects.”

Goyang Special City plans to continue supporting Goyang-style future education through cooperation with the Goyang Office of Education and to create an environment where students in the jurisdiction can nurture their dreams.
