Buan-gun, Jeonbuk Province, announced on the 5th that it was selected as the 'Best Institution' in the 2024 Comprehensive Evaluation of Land and Cadastral Affairs hosted by Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.
This evaluation assessed the performance of land and cadastral affairs among 15 cities, counties, and districts within the province, evaluating achievements in cadastral work and spatial information fields, land management such as individual publicly announced land prices, cadastral re-survey projects, and road name address sectors, covering land, cadastral, and spatial information initiatives.
These achievements are the result of all staff working in unison for the residents through efforts such as establishing a cadastral map-based performance management system, operating a one-stop civil service processing system, providing land information through the ‘Find Changed Lot Number’ service, updating administrative information by enforcing land category changes and digitizing cadastral documents, accurately determining individual publicly announced land prices, and smoothly implementing cadastral re-survey projects.
Previously, the county was selected as the Best Institution in 2018 and 2022, and as an Excellent Institution in 2019 and 2021. It has also consistently strived for development in the cadastral field by winning awards for excellent research projects at the province-hosted cadastral workshops, receiving excellence awards in 2020 and 2021.
Kim Ho-seung, Head of the Civil Affairs Division, said, “We are honored to receive such a positive evaluation in land and cadastral affairs, which are directly related to residents’ property rights. We will continue to provide high-quality administrative services tailored to residents’ expectations and serve the community with a more proactive and creative attitude.”
