Winter Intensive Safety Inspection at Yangpyeong Public Sewage Treatment Facility and Others

Yangpyeong Corporation, a local public enterprise (President Shin Beom-su), announced on the 5th that it conducted safety inspections of environmental infrastructure facilities in operation from the 18th of last month to the 4th of this month in preparation for the winter season.

To carry out professional inspections aimed at preventing safety accidents such as freezing and burst pipes in major facilities during the winter, the corporation formed a joint inspection team consisting of the Yangpyeong-gun Civil Complaints and Land Division, the Korea Industrial Safety Association, the Hangang Guardians Movement Headquarters (Yangpyeong Regional Headquarters), and corporation employees. The team inspected 82 environmental infrastructure sites (59 public sewage treatment facilities, 21 private sewage facilities, and 2 manure facilities).

The main inspection items included ▲measures against freezing and burst pipes in major facilities ▲maintenance of workplace hazards ▲establishment of disaster management systems. In particular, this inspection enhanced safety and efficiency by using drones to inspect solar panels and building rooftops that are difficult to access, in cooperation with the Yangpyeong-gun Civil Complaints and Land Division.

Shin Beom-su, president of Yangpyeong Corporation, who participated in the safety inspection site, said, “We are paying close attention to prepare for disasters and safety accidents caused by cold waves and heavy snowfall during the winter season,” and added, “We will continue to realize the corporation’s ‘safety management’ through effective inspections.”
