Dongducheon-si Senior Welfare Center Holds Volunteer and Sponsor Appreciation Day Event

On the 5th, Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) held a Day of Appreciation event for outstanding volunteers and regular sponsors affiliated with the Dongducheon Senior Welfare Center (Director Min Kyung-yeon).

The Day of Appreciation event was held with the attendance of 80 volunteers and 20 regular sponsors affiliated with the welfare center, who are active in various areas such as side dish packaging volunteer work for the meal delivery project. Awards were also presented to outstanding volunteers and sponsors.

Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon said, “I thank the volunteers and sponsors who willingly practiced sharing for neighbors in need,” and added, “We will continue to build a stronger welfare network through cooperation between the public and private sectors.”

During the event, there was a time for outstanding volunteers to share their impressions and activities, creating an opportunity for exchange and communication among volunteers. The event was further enriched with a congratulatory performance by the Dongducheon Senior Choir, adding to the festive atmosphere.
