Busan Office of Education Receives Sole Prime Minister's Commendation at National Happiness Civil Service Center

Ministry of the Interior and Safety Hosts 'National Happiness Civil Service Office' Contest

Top Agency in Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation, Consecutive Awards in Civil Service-Related Assessments

Following its first-place ranking among 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education in the ‘2023 Comprehensive Civil Service Evaluation’ last February, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education has solidified its position as the leading education office providing the best civil service by receiving the Prime Minister’s Commendation as the only education office nationwide in the ‘2024 National Happiness Civil Service Office’ contest.

On the 5th, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it was selected as an excellent institution for re-certification in the ‘2024 National Happiness Civil Service Office’ contest hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and was the only education (support) office nationwide to receive the Prime Minister’s Commendation among the ‘National Happiness Civil Service Offices.’

The ‘National Happiness Civil Service Office,’ which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety selects as an excellent institution every three years, evaluates 30 items across four areas including internal and external spaces of civil service offices, service operations, civil service office experience, and satisfaction surveys, targeting education offices, local governments, and special local administrative agencies nationwide.

In this contest, the Busan Office of Education received high marks for being the first to operate the ‘Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Emergency Care Neulbom Center’ within its comprehensive civil service office. Additionally, the 24-hour civil service consultation AI chatbot ‘Allido,’ the electronic civil service application system, and the production and promotion of short-form videos providing civil service information were selected as exemplary cases of pioneering digital civil service services.

Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, “The city education office is striving to improve civil service administration and systems to provide civil services that satisfy everyone. We will not rest on our achievements but will continue to communicate steadily with education consumers to lead the resolution and prevention of grievances.”

The Busan Office of Education will receive a gold certification plaque and the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the ‘2024 Civil Service Day Event’ held at 11 a.m. on the 6th at the Government Sejong Complex, and will be certified as an excellent civil service office for three years until 2027.
