Boseong-gun Wins ‘Top Excellence Award’ in Jeonnam Volunteer Center Evaluation

Various Policies Implemented Including the 'Onginaneum Community-wide Campaign'

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it received the 'Grand Prize' in the category of Excellent City/County Volunteer Center Evaluation at the '2024 Jeollanam-do Volunteer Conference' held on the 4th at the Kim Dae-jung Auditorium of Jeonnam Provincial Office.

The 'Excellent City/County Volunteer Center Evaluation' assesses 22 volunteer centers across Jeollanam-do in five areas and 11 indicators, including expansion of volunteer infrastructure, volunteer management and projects, activation of volunteer linkage cooperation, strengthening of volunteer recognition and reward systems, and volunteer promotion, to promote volunteer activities.

This year, Boseong-gun was recognized for significantly contributing to the activation of volunteer activities by implementing various policies such as the Warmth Sharing All-Citizen Campaign, operating the Happy! Boseong Family Volunteer Group, running the Rural Talent Sharing Festival, and the Love Kimchi Sharing Relay.

In addition to the institutional award (Grand Prize), Kim Mi-sook, Chairperson of the Boseong-gun Women's Volunteer Association, and Jeong Jin-ok, General Manager of the Boseong-gun Hope Hand Volunteer Group, received the Jeonnam Governor's Commendation for Volunteer Service, while Baek Hyung-sook, Chairperson of the Mireok-myeon Women's Volunteer Association, was honored with the Jeonnam Provincial Council Chairman's Commendation.

Kim Cheol-woo, Mayor of Boseong-gun, said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the volunteers who have served their neighbors in need despite difficult circumstances," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create a happy Boseong through the activation of volunteer activities."

Meanwhile, Boseong-gun plans to hold the 19th Volunteer Day commemorative 'Boseong-gun Volunteer Conference' at Boseong Davichi Condo on the 13th to encourage volunteers and create a harmonious community of sharing.
