Korean Hospital Association Suspends Participation in Medical Reform Special Committee

On the morning of the 5th, the KHA held an executive board meeting and decided that it could no longer continue its participation in the PCMR under the current circumstances. Several PCMR members recommended by the KHA have consecutively expressed their intention to resign from the association, and it is reported that President Yoon's declaration of martial law and the proclamation, which included provisions on the return of medical personnel who left the field and the punishment of those who did not return, influenced this decision.

Meanwhile, as the political situation became chaotic due to President Yoon's declaration and lifting of martial law, the PCMR postponed its scheduled meetings on the previous day and today. The PCMR plans to announce the second phase of medical reform implementation measures by the end of this month, including improvements to non-reimbursable medical services and indemnity insurance.
