Uijeongbu City Public Health Center (Director Jang Yeon-guk) announced on the 5th that it will conduct the "Elementary and Middle School Entrance Vaccination Verification Project" targeting children born in 2018 and 2012 who are scheduled to enter elementary and middle schools in 2025.
Notice for the 'Vaccination Verification Project for Elementary and Middle School Entrants.' Provided by Uijeongbu City
Elementary school entrants must verify the completion of four types of vaccinations administered between ages 4 and 6 (5th dose of diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis; 4th dose of poliovirus; 2nd dose of measles, mumps, rubella; 4th dose of inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine or 2nd dose of live attenuated vaccine).
Middle school entrants must verify the completion of three types of vaccinations administered between ages 11 and 12 (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis or 6th dose of tetanus and diphtheria; 5th dose of inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine or 2nd dose of live attenuated vaccine; 1st dose of human papillomavirus vaccine for female students).
The Uijeongbu City Public Health Center checks the vaccination status of the subjects and encourages those who have not completed their vaccinations through text messages and phone calls. An information notice about the verification project will also be distributed along with the school admission notice.
Vaccination completion status can be checked by registering your child after signing up on the Vaccination Helper website, or by confirming at the medical institution or public health center where the vaccination was administered. If vaccinations are not completed, children under 12 years old can receive free vaccinations at nearby designated medical institutions with full coverage of the national vaccination costs.
For inquiries, please contact the Public Health Center’s Vaccination Office by phone for guidance.
