Lee Hak-su, Jeongeup Mayor, Visits Environmental Facility Site... Listens to Difficulties

"Request to Alleviate Citizen Inconvenience and Prevent Safety Accidents"

Lee Hak-su, former mayor of Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk, visited environmental facilities in person on the 4th to encourage workers and listen to on-site voices to resolve citizen inconveniences.

According to the city on the 5th, Mayor Lee visited food waste recycling facilities, the Southwestern Regional Living Resource Recovery Center, the regional landfill, and public treatment facilities for sewage and livestock manure to create a clean environment.

This on-site visit is conducted once a week as part of preparations to produce substantial results by inspecting environmental management facilities closely related to citizens' lives and the progress of projects before completion.

At the food waste recycling facility, Mayor Lee instructed, "Adjust workers' commuting hours flexibly to prevent odors and review measures to process food waste daily without leftovers."

At the Southwestern Regional Living Resource Recovery Center, he listened to the need for expanding the entrance and emphasized, "Take prompt action to ensure the safe entry and exit of recycling collection vehicles and prevent worker safety accidents."

Also, at the regional landfill, he showed interest not only in environmental improvement but also in enhancing resident convenience by saying, "Review ways to utilize the vacant lot near Section 2 as a sports facility."

Mayor Lee urged, "Listen to problems and difficulties occurring on-site, strive to minimize citizen inconveniences, and prevent safety accidents. Please prepare thoroughly in advance to prevent odor complaints."
