Time for Harmony Between Local Residents and Students
The College of Marine Science at Gyeongsang National University announced on the 5th that it held the "3rd GNU College of Marine Science Dean's Cup Youth Dream and Talent Festival" as part of the National University Development Project.
This event was organized to provide an opportunity for youth in the Gyeongnam region to showcase their talents and skills, and to seek a time of harmony where local residents and students could enjoy together. Twelve teams participated in the event, passionately competing through dance, singing, and more.

Additionally, a seafood cooking experience event and performances by the Marine Science College clubs were held, offering various attractions and food, providing a special experience for both participants and spectators.
In the final results of the competition, the Grand Prize was awarded to "J Kingdom," the Excellence Award went to the Geoje Elementary School Union Team "Fear Stick," the Merit Award was given to Geoje Giseong Elementary School Choir and Dongwon High School's "Worst Generation," and the Popularity Award was received by Geoje Giseong Elementary School Ensemble and Chungmu Girls' Middle School's "Aphelia," respectively.
In particular, the cooking experience event held as a side event showcased various dishes such as oyster pancakes, oyster sausages, fried sea eel, and eel jerky, supported by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Sea Eel Self-Governing Committee, and the Oyster Self-Governing Committee, receiving great response from local residents and enrolled students.
Dean Lee Jeong-seok of the College of Marine Science stated, "This competition allowed us to confirm the diverse talents of youth, and it was a meaningful time for spectators to soothe their weary minds," adding, "The College of Marine Science will continue to discover and operate cultural programs involving local residents, faculty, and students to contribute to the cultivation of cultural sentiments within the local community."
