The KOSPI is slightly down due to foreign selling. While large semiconductor stocks such as SK Hynix are showing strength, financial stocks like KB Financial Group and Shinhan Financial Group are falling sharply.
As of 10:28 AM on the 5th, the KOSPI recorded 2,457.77, down 0.25% compared to the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals are net buyers with 165.1 billion KRW. On the other hand, foreigners and institutions are net sellers with 176.1 billion KRW and 19.7 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, the electric and electronics sector rose 1.56%. Steel and metals, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals are in a slightly positive range. Conversely, insurance fell 3.11%. The financial sector also dropped 2.75%. Additionally, chemicals, construction, and telecommunications sectors are slightly down.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics is trading at 53,900 KRW, up 800 KRW (1.51%) from the previous day. SK Hynix also rose 3.15%. Korea Zinc increased by 3.29%. Conversely, KB Financial Group plunged 7.65%. Shinhan Financial Group also fell 4.74%. Hyundai Motor, Kia, and Samsung C&T are down more than 1%.
The KOSDAQ recorded 674.42, down 0.40%.
By investor type, individuals are net buyers with 97.5 billion KRW. Meanwhile, foreigners and institutions are net sellers with 85.6 billion KRW and 6.6 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, construction rose 1.86%. Machinery and equipment also jumped 1.55%. Conversely, entertainment and culture, transportation equipment and parts, and non-metal sectors fell more than 1%. Financials, manufacturing, and transportation sectors are slightly down.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Alteogen traded at 318,500 KRW, up 500 KRW (0.16%) from the previous day. Conversely, Pearl Abyss fell 4.95%. Classys and Celltrion Pharm also dropped more than 3%. Enchem and Lino Industrial are in a slightly negative range.
