TVING Launches Mobile-Optimized Vertical Short-Form Service

"Creating Differentiated Value in the OTT Market"

Native OTT service TVING announced on the 5th that it will launch a vertical short-form service optimized for mobile. It plans to meet customer demands with content lasting one minute.

TVING stated, "We launched this service in response to changes in media consumption trends," adding, "Based on our differentiated K-content production capabilities, we will drive sustainable growth in the content ecosystem and introduce innovative business models to create distinctive value in the OTT market."


The TVING short-form service is available to both paid and free users. Users can select the 'Shorts' tab within the mobile app. A representative explained, "Users can freely switch between short-form content and full-length dramas and variety shows within the OTT app."


The short-form content includes TVING original series, variety shows, documentaries, as well as dramas, variety shows, cultural programs from tvN and Mnet, and professional sports videos. The representative said, "Based on our vast library, we plan to provide highlight videos as well as mashup videos that group multiple works by topic and theme." They added, "We also plan to diversify formats in the future by summarizing and reorganizing existing content narratives."


TVING is building a lineup aiming to launch original short-form dramas and variety shows next year. They plan to continuously increase the quantity of high-quality, diverse, and original short-form content. A representative said, "Based on our unique planning and production capabilities, we will quickly lead the short-form industry and expand collaboration with creators to promote a virtuous cycle and synergy within the content ecosystem."
