Although the emergency martial law declared by President Yoon Suk-yeol was lifted after six hours at the request of the National Assembly, its repercussions continue in the broadcasting industry, with entertainment programs being consecutively canceled.

The three major terrestrial broadcasters (KBS, MBC, SBS) and key cable and comprehensive programming channels switched to special news coverage at 10:25 p.m. on the 3rd when President Yoon announced the emergency martial law in an urgent national address. SBS halted the airing of the entertainment program 'Teummanneumyeon' and broadcast related special reports, while Channel A interrupted 'Steel Troops W' to deliver breaking news.

On the 4th, MBC's entertainment programs 'Radio Star' and 'Sigol Maeul Ijangwoo,' SBS's 'Goal Ddaerineun Geunyeodeul - Segyegwan-ui Hwaksan,' and others were replaced by news and special broadcasts related to the martial law. tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' TV Chosun's 'Miss Three Lang,' and MBN's 'I Am a Natural Person' were also canceled. MBC urgently scheduled '100 Minutes Debate' to focus intensively on the emergency martial law situation, the first in 45 years.

On the 5th, MBC specially scheduled the current affairs program 'PD Notebook' instead of 'Save Me! Homes.' KBS plans to resume regular broadcasts from this day. KBS2 will air 'Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together Season 2' and 'Animals Are Wonderful' as scheduled. SBS's 'The Day Stories That Link Tails,' JTBC's 'Divorce Reflection Camp,' Channel A's 'Dad Is a Flower Middle-aged Man,' and tvN's 'Outside the Tent: Romantic Italy in Europe' will also be broadcast normally.

However, the broadcasting industry intends to monitor the situation for the time being and respond accordingly. Some broadcasters are maintaining their existing schedules but are keeping emergency work systems in place, considering the possibility of replacing programs with special news coverage depending on the situation.
