This donation was prepared to convey warm hearts to growing children and youth, and 1,000 bags of 10 kg each of Odae rice from Cheorwon were delivered to 469 group homes nationwide, including Seoul, Gangneung, Jeonju, and Tongyeong. Group homes are small residential facilities where children and youth in need of protection can receive stable care in a home-like environment. Since 2008, the Samil Future Foundation has steadily conducted certification acquisition and academic support projects for 17 years to help group home children and youth achieve healthy independence.

Yoon Hoon-soo, CEO of Samil PwC, said, “We are very pleased to share warmth with the children and youth of the Group Home Association, which has a deep connection with Samil,” adding, “Samil PwC is carrying out social contribution activities to fulfill its responsibilities and roles as a member of the local community. We will continue to provide practical support to neighbors in need.”

Kim Ju-yang, Executive Director of NongHyup Economic Holdings, said, “It is even more meaningful that the rice consumption promotion campaign has led to donations for children and youth, who are the future leaders of our society,” and added, “We will actively participate in activities that deliver warm energy throughout local communities.”

On the same day, Samil PwC and the Samil Future Foundation also conducted the year-end volunteer activity “Early Christmas Santa Expedition” organized by ‘Yongsan Dragons,’ a civilian-government-academia joint volunteer group in Yongsan-gu. Marking its 7th year, this activity involved about 100 employees from 17 member companies, including Samil PwC, Amorepacific, and Orion Foundation. The volunteer employees packaged gifts such as winter supplies, stationery, and snacks prepared by each member company and delivered them to about 180 children at 9 child facilities.
