User-Centered Convenience Improvement
Effect of Expanding Promotions Such as Discount Coupons
'Thanks 2024 Year-End Gift Exhibition' Special Event
Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 5th that, based on an analysis of the mobile gifting service status from January this year to last month, the number of uses by the 4060 generation increased more than fourfold compared to the same period last year, and during event periods, it increased up to 20 times.
The most gifted items by the 4060 generation were food (25%) due to demand for holiday gifts, followed by beauty (20%) and fashion (15%). The most popular gift was the 'Coffee Gifticon.' The second place was 'Dior Lipstick,' and third was 'Nike Shoes.' In TV home shopping, premium gift demand was high through the representative living program 'Choi Yura Show.' The top product was 'Seolseong Farm Hanwoo Beef Soup' made with antibiotic-free Hanwoo beef, second was the American home appliance brand Shark Ninja's 'Ninja Cordless Blender,' and third was the German toothpaste 'Lacarute Toothpaste.'
The company explained that this was analyzed to have received high responses by improving UI (user interface) convenience this year and introducing promotional campaigns that expanded service experiences such as discount coupons and free gifts.
Lotte Homeshopping will hold a year-end gift exhibition special from the 9th to the 31st. All customers who use the gifting service will receive Lotte mobile gift certificates (5,000 KRW for purchases over 50,000 KRW, 10,000 KRW for purchases over 100,000 KRW). In TV home shopping, luxury goods, beauty, and healthcare products for filial piety and gifts will be intensively scheduled.
Lee Dong-gyu, head of marketing at Lotte Homeshopping, said, "Mobile gifting has become a routine service not only for younger generations but also for middle-aged and older consumers," adding, "We will continue to make the service more convenient by improving usability and adding new features in the future."
