Handonghun: "Yoon President's Request to Leave Party Delivered to Prime Minister and Chief of Staff"

Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, announced on the 4th that he conveyed the demand for President Yoon Seok-yeol to leave the party to Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and Presidential Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok.

Before attending an emergency party members' meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Han responded to the question, "Did you demand that President Yoon leave the party?" by saying, "The demand to leave the party was decided at the Supreme Council meeting and was also mentioned at the party members' meeting," adding, "It was conveyed during a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office."

Earlier that day, senior officials from the Presidential Office and the party gathered at the Prime Minister's residence in Samcheong-dong to discuss follow-up measures after the emergency martial law. Afterwards, Han met directly with President Yoon along with floor leader Choo Kyung-ho. However, it is known that there was no mention of President Yoon leaving the party during this meeting.

Regarding the opposition party's push for President Yoon's impeachment, Han said, "I will not answer each and every one of those questions."
