Delivery of Residents' Requests Including Establishment of Jeonggwan New Town Circular Route

On the 4th, Jeong Jong-bok, the mayor of Gijang-gun, visited the Busan City Transportation Innovation Bureau to meet directly with the head of the bureau and related department heads, conveying residents' opinions regarding the city bus route reorganization and urging active reflection and cooperation.

Busan City held two rounds of briefings for Gijang residents by district regarding the city bus route reorganization, and plans to finalize the reorganization plan after collecting and reviewing residents' opinions on detailed route-specific reorganization proposals.

Accordingly, Gijang-gun continuously collects residents' opinions on the city bus route reorganization and requested that residents' opinions be actively reflected to improve Gijang-gun's relatively underdeveloped public transportation system compared to other districts in Busan City.

They repeatedly urged that the findings from the "Jeonggwan-eup Public Transportation Operation and Transfer System Improvement Review Project," conducted from July 2023 to April 2024, be actively incorporated to establish route operation plans suitable for the Jeonggwan New Town situation.

Jeong Jong-bok, mayor of Gijang-gun, said, "City buses are the feet of our residents," and added, "I hope Busan City will listen to the residents' opinions from the perspective of Gijang residents and finalize this route reorganization plan."

Busan City stated that it will review residents' opinions and reflect them in the city bus route reorganization, and will strive to improve balanced public transportation conditions in Busan City.
