The enforcement targets for driving restrictions on Grade 5 emission vehicles are nationwide Grade 5 emission vehicles that have not undergone low-emission measures, and violators will be fined up to 100,000 KRW per day. Vehicles exempt from enforcement include those equipped with emission reduction devices, vehicles for the disabled, national merit recipients, and veterans.

Applications for low-emission measures can be made through the Integrated Automobile Emission Website, the Korea Automobile Environment Association, or by visiting the Climate and Environment Division of Yangpyeong-gun Office. Vehicle emission grades can be confirmed by calling the Grade System Call Center.

Hong Yoon-tak, head of the Climate and Environment Division, urged, “The driving restrictions on Grade 5 emission vehicles are part of strengthened fine dust reduction measures from December to March, when high concentrations of fine dust frequently occur. We ask for the active participation of the residents.”
