Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 4th that it has been recruiting participants for the 2025 Senior Job Project since the 2nd through the Gapyeong Senior Welfare Center and the Gapyeong Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association.
Next year, a total of 1,848 participants will be recruited, an increase of 160 from this year, to promote active aging and expand social participation among local seniors. The project budget will also increase by approximately 1.22 billion KRW to 8.17 billion KRW, making it the largest scale ever. The recruitment numbers are divided by type as follows: 1,150 for the Senior Public Service Project, 420 for the Senior Capacity Utilization Project, and 278 for the Community Project Group, with activity periods ranging from 10 to 11 months.
Eligibility varies depending on the project type. The Senior Public Service Project targets low-income seniors aged 65 or older who receive the Basic Pension, and starting next year, those receiving occupational pensions can also apply if they meet the income criteria.
The Senior Capacity Utilization Project and Community Project Group allow applications even if the applicant is not a Basic Pension recipient, and some projects accept participants aged 60 or older. Preference is given to those holding relevant certifications and experience, persons with disabilities, and national veterans (employment protection beneficiaries).
Those wishing to participate should prepare identification, a resident registration certificate, and a bankbook, and submit an application form to the Gapyeong Senior Welfare Center (by December 12) or the Gapyeong Branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association (by December 20). The schedule and locations for applications by eup/myeon can be confirmed through each implementing agency.
